Brief: This gala dinner for staff and partners was a sit down, 3-course affair for approximately 1100 guests. The brief was to design and deliver the entire event, from top to bottom. The theme chosen was a combination of 21st century Venice & Masquerade ball. Teaser video’s were generated by Instinct to get the staff excited. These were distributed via Intranet. Physical invites were delivered to guests closer to the event. Instinct designed the room and bought in all required Audio Visual equipment. This included a 30 metre long screen behind the main stage (with multiple projectors), draping and room props. Instinct also provided screen content, including animated scenes from Venice, combined with still pictorials and live video feed from the two camera operators. Follow spots and movers were used to add “ping” to each key moment. Instinct also coordinated all centre pieces and lit more than 2000 candles on the night. Guests were met by an array of roving acts in the pre-function area. Ranging from “roving royalty” to court jesters. Face painters were engaged to “paint “ the circus performers and bring them in line with the theme (whilst removing the need for masks, that could provide a safety issue). Once seated and welcomed, guests were treated to an aerial display by two tissue performers (on auxiliary stages), followed by entrée. Fourtissimo then enthralled the audience with 3 breathtaking renditions from their opera repertoire. Various roving acts and entertainers occupied the stages throughout the night. Australian leading dance band, Headspace performed as a ten piece to ensure the dance floor was full from beginning to end!
